Genuinely, I am really enjoying typing into the html!!! Having LJ flashbacks, and loving it. I've been thinking all day about what I might write into my first proper entry. Feels like I should be establishing some kind of template or expectation. I'll do my best, but I sometimes feel I get a little too carried away with structure and...snip my own nose off to spite my face ongoing, if you know what I mean. Cuts the heart out of the idea of a stream of conciousness activity.
Whatever. Structure! Notable thoughts of the day.
Currently locked in battle with my web dev tools.... I deeply enjoyed our Matrix themed era, but even I get tired of black and green. Perhaps we should go blue... I'm going to try to hit something fresh and Pepsi-like, if you know what I mean? Bit sporty...Fresh in that 90s way. You will see how that goes!
I've been deep in my WIPS. Am I about to shatter every scrap of trust in this tiny spark of a fandom by absolutely dickslapping all [counts]I dunno... five of my readers with 10k of mpreg? Why not! This will teach them some resiliance!
I've been languishing in the waybackmachine scrabbling about for Five popslash...truly Yahoo committed a hatecrime when they binned Groups and culled Geocities. And then they murdered Delicious too...Well. It's on sight.
In more pleasant news, the Geocities Gallery is delightful. It's a thematically organised archive of geocities websites. It's just like browsing pre-google webrings. Yum. Take a look at the pages under the SunsetStrip section for band/musician fansites specificallly. It's a bit messy, but just search each page for the keywords you're after.
Best finds today? Probably this image, which is quite nice:
Possibly the existence of the Scott's Slave Cult... I know. And it's okay. I've poked around and it's very innocuous, don't worry. Other than the concept, which I disagree with fundamentally purely on the basis that Scott fans need to have some self-respect.
